Whispers of the Heart

Some client based work for a cover book design.

The client wrote a coming of age novel, targeting teens and young adults. They started with a very open brief of the 3 main character hanging out after school, trying to build depth and connection through the backgrounds.

After a couple of revisions we went with a more dreamy pastel landscape, that ended up focusing on the characters more than the background.
They also requested a slight nostalgia Y2K feeling, so some hand drawn doodles around that theme.
